Beijing 797 Audio Co. Ltd. CR1-4
Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone
The CR1-4 is a small-diaphragm condenser with a fixed cardioid capsule. The microphone utilizes a transformerless preamp instead of transformer coupling output circuitry, used in the old version of the CR1-4 which dates back to 1979.
The mic uses a low-mass, gold-plated diaphragm.
Switchable low-cut filter and -10 dB preattanuation (pad) give this version of the mic more versatility in the studio.
The low-end roll-off is extreme, below 100 Hz.
