About Joel Hamilton

Joel Hamilton is an engineer and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked with many indie, left of center, and underground artists such as Sparklehorse, Frank Black, Daevid Allen, David Grubbs, and Tracy + the Plastics, and he's been in numerous touring bands for the past dozen years, including Shiner, Glazed Baby, The Book of Knots, and Players Club.

Joel calls Studio G Brooklyn his home. His partner Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, Bob Mould, They Might Be Giants, Lucinda Williams) was interviewed in Tape Op #41, and Studio G was recently featured in MIX magazine.

Back in 1979, Joel found a tube reel-to-reel -- or maybe it found him -- and he’s been recording music ever since.

Joel will be riding a Vespa coast-to-coast -- some 3700 miles! -- to raise awareness and donations for the Scotty Hard Trust. Check out his new site, Vespa Coast To Coast, for more info.
